Receiving a spiritual calling can cause a disruption in one's life.
When your spiritual guides rise up to reveal their presence, it is never for fun. It is also rarely about you.
More often than not, ancestors rise up because they need assistance with something. Powerful as they are, there are certain things they can't perform on their own in the spirit world, they need assistance from us in the physical world.
Various reasons can be explored:
*They can task you to free up a whole generation of your ancestors in the spirit world;
*An ancestor that was supposed to heed a spiritual calling could come back and 'rise up' in you for you to pay off their 'debt';
*An ancestor that left the physical world with their gift, i.e. didn't do much to serve their purpose and be of service to humankind may come back and seek your assistance to run their mile
* An ancestor that was disruptive and causing havoc (ukuthakatha/kuloya) during their lifetime may come back and seek assistance to be cleansed because they cannot be received as they are in the spirit world (inhlambululo);
* An ancestor that may have lived in 'sin', e.g. raped, impregnated a niece, etc.
* An ancestor who robbed family members of their rightful inheritance, wadla ilobola engaqondenanga naye, etc.
*An ancestor who left itasi/isikhwama without leaving guidelines
The above and many other reasons could cause ancestors to 'rise up' and seek our attention.
AmaXhosa can some everything up and say elikhaya linamatyala. I can mention a few of amatyala:
*Ukhokho/khokhokazi owathwetyulwa emlanjeni.
*Abantu abadala abashiyeka emanxoweni (kwazwelidala)
*Isikhwama/itasi engazange ichithwe
*Iintsimbi zegqirha ezingazange zichithwe
Other Nguni nations some it up and kuthiwe kumele kulungiswe umsamo. There are various things that could be tainting umsamo. Your calling could be that you have to see to it that umsamo wakini uyalungiswa.
When everything else fails, izinto zingahambi kakuhle emzini, Abantu abadala bathumela iindwendwe---iinyosi, isilo sakomkhulu, isilo sengethe, etc. This will cause the family to rise and go seek for answers. The same can happen for an individual...getting visitations at work ...ufikelwe ziinyosi(bees), your body telling you there is a spiritual presence, etc. When your family goes to seek for answers, everything points at you and your calling.
With all the above reasons, you may go on to realise that you are chosen.
Sadly, a female may be led by male spirit guides. This alone can cause problems in your life. Having male guides as a female may give you a masculine aura. This could affect you negatively at work, relationships, socially, etc.
In most of my readings, females that are led by male guides, usually complain that they do not get attention from the male counterparts🤣 ukungashelwa/ukungaplitwa.
Females that are led by male guides are usually also very decisive...it may be easy to decide to terminate a pregnancy
